Acne Treatments That Work
Treating acne can be a frustrating and time-consuming effort which often leads to little success.

The causes and severity of acne vary so much, a treatment that works for one person may not always work for another. Even the "zap-your-acne-overnight treatments" we hear about on TV do not always provide the results we went.

What are some acne treatments that work?

Developing a proper skin care regime is the most important treatment of all. If your face is over-oily or over-dry, you are more likely to break out. This means you can wash your face neither too little or too much.

With a little practice and experimentation, you should be able to find a system that works for you. Acne sufferers should also avoid using heavily scented soaps or washes which can cause further irritation.

Look for a face wash or gentle cleansing bar with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid if possible.

A proper skin care routine may treat acne sufficiently, but for others who have a more severe case, other treatments may need to be sought.

Acne treatments that work for severe acne differ from skin type to skin type. Neutrogena has a wide range of acne treatment products which are proven to be excellent.

The variety of products means there is a treatment for every acne sufferer, whether you have oily skin, dry skin, red skin, or peeling skin.

Other acne treatments that work include Clean and Clear, ProActive, and other over-the-counter medications, washes, and creams.

Remember, however, that one product was not made for all skin types or severities of acne. It may take several trials to find the system that works.

Finally, keeping your body healthy is a logical acne treatment that works.

Get enough sleep, drink plenty of warm, take vitamins if you don't get enough from food, and get some exercise.
